Our Approach

A simple, supportive process at your pace

Moving into a care home is an important decision. Whether you're planning ahead or need support quickly, our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

We keep the process clear, calm, and personal, so you always know what to expect.

Our admissions process

Get in touch

Start with a simple conversation. You can call, email, or complete our enquiry form. We'll listen carefully to your situation, answer your questions, and explain how we can help. There is no pressure, just honest guidance.

Visit Rosewood House

We encourage you to visit and experience the home for yourself. You'll have the opportunity to meet our team, see our rooms and shared spaces, and ask questions about care, daily life, and fees. This helps you and your family feel confident and informed.

Care assessment

If you decide to move forward, we'll arrange a personal care assessment. This allows us to understand medical and care needs, learn personal preferences and routines, and ensure we can provide the right level of support. Assessments can take place at the home or in hospital, depending on your circumstances.

Fee confirmation and planning

Following the assessment, we'll provide a clear, written breakdown of fees, confirmation of the level of care required, and guidance on funding options. We'll take time to talk everything through, so there are no surprises.

Moving in

Once everything is agreed, we'll support you in planning a smooth and comfortable move. We'll help with choosing and preparing your room, bringing personal belongings, and settling in during the first few days. Our team will be there to welcome you and ensure you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Urgent or hospital admissions

We understand that sometimes decisions need to be made quickly. We can often arrange assessments and admissions at short notice, including hospital discharges, while still ensuring safe and appropriate care.

Please contact us directly and we will do everything we can to help.

What to expect from us

  • Clear communication at every stage — we explain what happens next and keep you informed
  • Respect for your preferences and choices — we build an approach that fits your needs
  • Support for both residents and families — we recognise this is a significant transition for everyone
  • A calm, unhurried approach — moving into a care home shouldn't feel rushed

Supporting you with funding

Understanding care funding can feel complex. We're here to make it easier. We can guide you through self-funded care, local authority funding, and NHS contributions where applicable.

For independent information, you can also refer to NHS or Care Quality Commission.
