The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our highest priority.
At Rosewood House, we are committed to protecting every individual from harm, abuse, or neglect. We take a proactive approach to safeguarding, ensuring that all concerns are taken seriously and acted upon quickly and appropriately.
What safeguarding means
Safeguarding is about protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.
This includes protection from:
- Physical abuse
- Emotional or psychological harm
- Neglect or acts of omission
- Financial abuse
- Discrimination
- Exploitation
We maintain a culture where concerns can be raised openly and without hesitation.
Our approach
We have clear policies and procedures in place to ensure that safeguarding concerns are identified and addressed promptly.
Our approach includes:
- All staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role
- Safer recruitment processes, including background checks
- Ongoing supervision and support for staff
- Clear reporting procedures for any concerns or incidents
- Working closely with local safeguarding authorities and healthcare professionals
