A typical day at Rosewood

Life at Rosewood is calm, structured where it needs to be, and flexible where it matters. Residents are free to follow their own routines, with gentle support throughout the day.

7:30–9:30am
Breakfast

Residents wake at their own pace. Morning movement, stretching or quiet time. Newspapers, tea and conversation in the lounge.

9:30am–12pm
Late morning

Group activities such as music, reminiscence or crafts. One-to-one time with staff where preferred.

12:00pm
Lunch

Freshly prepared lunch served. Seasonal menus, with alternatives always available.

3:00pm
Afternoon tea

Light activities, visiting entertainers or quiet time. Tea, cake and social time in the lounge.

5:30pm+
Dinner & evening

Dinner served. Relaxed evenings with films, reading or conversation. Support with settling for the night.

Residents can take part as much or as little as they wish, with care tailored to individual preferences.

Activities & weekly life

Activities at Rosewood are designed to support wellbeing, independence and enjoyment. We focus on gentle, meaningful experiences rather than busy schedules.

Regular activities include:

  • Music and reminiscence sessions
  • Arts, crafts and painting
  • Gardening in our outdoor spaces
  • Baking and cooking with our kitchen team
  • Gentle exercise and seated yoga
  • Film afternoons and quiz evenings
  • Reading groups and conversation circles
  • Celebrating birthdays and seasonal events

We also welcome local entertainers, musicians and community groups throughout the month.

Outings & connection to the community

Staying connected to the outside world is an important part of life at Rosewood.

Where appropriate, residents enjoy:

  • Short walks in Highgate and nearby green spaces
  • Visits to cafés and local shops
  • Trips to Parliament Hill and surrounding areas
  • Occasional day outings and seasonal events

Family members are always welcome to join us, whether for outings or simply spending time together at the home.
